DAVID BARZILAY, MIPR/ NUJ
Managing Director
David Barzilay has advised a large number of clients in the motoring industry over a long period of time and is particularly well known in the world of classic cars.
He currently advises Classic Motor Cars Ltd, where he sits on the board as a Non-Executive Director, international auctioneers COYS, Jaguar Land Rover, Hotel de France and Classic Grand Touring. In the past has provided media & PR advice for major brands such as The Jaguar Heritage Trust and Aston Martin (special projects), amongst others.
David regularly writes for the Telegraph Motoring and Octane Magazine. He is also the UK representative of Vernasca Silver Flag, a famous Hill Climb event in Italy.
His motoring career started when he edited the motoring columns for the Courier Group of Newspapers in Kent and covered Brands Hatch for the national press while working with Ferrari News Agency.
David worked for the Daily Mirror and a variety of publications before working in Northern Ireland for the Belfast Telegraph and ultimately becoming Northern Ireland correspondent for the London Evening Standard. He became LBC’s first outside correspondent while working in Ulster and has written eight books including the definitive account of British Army operations in the Province. These books have sold in excess of 100,000 in the hard back edition.
Since then he has held senior Public Relations posts with Scotland Yard and with consultancies Burson-Marsteller, Good Relations, HHCC International and Daniel J. Edelman. He worked on corporate, consumer and high-tech accounts including American Express, General Dynamics, Merrill Lynch, Van den Berghs and Jurgens, Food from Britain, Sea Containers, WANG UK, Lotus, The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, Suburu.
David carried out a variety of projects for the World Wildlife Fund including media relations for the Orkney anti-seal cull operation and for the Fund’s 21st anniversary.
As Vice President of Public Relations in Europe for HHCC International, he launched the first corporate awareness campaign for WANG Computers in Europe, which proved highly successful.
He is a member of the National Union of Journalists. He is a former chief examiner in Public Relations for CAM, the communications, Advertising and Marketing foundation, a position he held for over ten years.

Julian Menendez has over 7 years of experience advising clients and organisations on local, regional and international communication, media and public relations as well as other areas related to marketing, advertising, fundraising and lobbying.
He held executive positions at Willis Argentina, Porter Novelli and is currently a Partner at Barzilay Associates. He has worked on international media and public relations campaigns for corporate and consumer accounts across a wide range of sectors, with major global clients such as Total, Exxon Mobil, UPS and Jaguar Land Rover, amongst others.

He has extensive experience within financial, accounting, tax and advisory services as well as the automotive and classic motoring industries having advised major clients such as Jaguar Land Rover, Lookers, Classic Motor Cars, Bosch Group (Automotive Aftermarket and Original Equipment divisions), Hotel de France, Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation and Coys of Kensington, amongst others.

Along his career he has also advised a number of private companies and organisations in the international security, defence and intelligence sectors.

Julian holds a MA in International Liaison and Communication from the University of Westminster, awarded with Merits, a BA degree in Public Relations from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), has a postgraduate course in Project Management and further training and professional development in public diplomacy and sustainable development.
